Green Derived Zinc Oxide (ZnO) for the Degradation of Dyes from Wastewater and Their Antimicrobial Activity: A Review

نویسندگان

چکیده

The quest for eco-friendly synthetic routes that can be used the development of multifunctional materials, in particular water treatment, has reinforced use plant extracts as replacement solvents their reducing and capping agents during synthesis green derived materials. Amongst various nanoparticles, Zinc Oxide (ZnO) emerged one preferred candidates photocatalysis due to its optical properties. Moreover, ZnO also been reported possess antimicrobial properties against bacterial strains such E. coli S. aureus. In this review, types pollutants including organic dyes natural are discussed. treatment methods purify wastewater with limitations highlighted. distinguishing clearly outlined defined, not mention performance a photocatalyst an agent, well. Lastly, overview is given challenges possible further perspectives.
